Ray-Bans’ Iconic Sunglasses Have Just Had an Incredibly Cool Upgrade
On December 1, 2021 by James JonesIs there anything more iconic than a pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarers?
Luxurious sunglasses have been a fashion mainstay for well over a half-century. But, with everything else becoming “smart” from our phones to our refrigerators Ray-Ban decided it was time for eyewear to catch up.

Enter Ray-Ban Stories, a cutting-edge collection of smart sunglasses and spectacles designed for those of us with less-than-perfect vision.
Sure, we’ve seen other firms try with “smart” spectacles in the past, snapping a photo here and then. But I have to say, I’m blown away by how much technology Ray-Ban has managed to incorporate into its Stories! They not only take images and videos, but they also play music and make phone calls, all in one simple-to-use gadget that is also (did we mention?) really fashionable.
And, since they were created in collaboration with Facebook, all of your visual material interacts effortlessly with all of your favorite social media platforms Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, and more via the new Facebook View app.
How to get the new Ray-Ban Stories
You can purchase your own Ray-Ban Stories (or, in my view, offer this holiday season’s trendiest present) in three distinct styles Wayfarer, Round, or Meteor and six beautiful color variations. You may also choose between four different colored sun lenses, transition lenses, and clear UV- and Blue Light-blocking lenses. Yes, my hyperopic and myopic friends, you can have any of these manufactured with your exact eyeglass prescription as well.

Ray-Ban Stories is now available for purchase at Ray-Ban.com and in select retailers, with prices beginning at $299. In addition, when you use our free Ray-Ban coupon codes, you may get a big discount on your purchase!
How do Ray-Ban Stories work?
Of course, you put them on your face like any other set of spectacles.
However, you’ll be able to shoot high-resolution images and up to 30-second films from your own unique perspective thanks to two front-facing 5MP cameras one at each temple that automatically adjust to the lighting conditions around you. There’s no need to set up the ideal photo when you’re already staring at it! Plus, owing to the integration of Facebook Assistant voice control, you can do it all hands-free. All you have to do is say “Hey Facebook,” and then ask it to take a photo, video, start recording, or capture something.

When it comes to playing music and making phone calls, you use the hyper-responsive yet completely invisible touchpad on the arm of the glasses to control the audio. Furthermore, the inconspicuous, open-ear speakers eliminate the need to fiddle with earbuds or headphones (one less thing to remember as you step out the door), allowing you to stay more aware of your surroundings while listening on the move. Best of all, surround-sound audio capture with three built-in microphones guarantees that both phone conversations and video recordings transmit your message clearly and loudly.
Ray-Ban Stories are obviously intended to be worn all day, which is why they still seem like ordinary glasses no odd protrusions or clumsy hardware here. But it also means they must be available at all times, which is why they come with a portable charging case that provides three more days of continuous usage at full power.
